(fourth Friday in September) A day in honor of Native Americans
The Makahiki New Year Festival is celebrated in Hawai'i in October. It celebrates new beginnings and honors the Hawaiian god Lono, who represents fertility, music and rain. There are three phases of Makahiki. The first consists of purification and spiritual cleansing. During the second phase, the Native Hawaiians celebrate with hula dancing and athletic competitions. The final phase honors Lono and tests the tribe's current chief to ensure he is still worthy as a leader.

Shipping/Handling
Shipping address: The items will be shipped to your PayPal registered address (no P.O. boxes please). Make sure your "ship to" address on PayPal is correct as this is the address we will use.
Shipping is based on either Standard or Priority Flat Rates. Shipping and processing time will range from 7 to 10 business days (not to include weekends or holidays).
Terms: We ship all packages via USPS (US Post Office) only. We ship domestic to all 50 United States. We also ship to all American Territories as well as most APO/FPO/DPO addresses. Shipping calculations for US Territories and APO/FPO/DPO addresses must be computed based on individual purchases and do not reflect the shipping/handling prices indicated on our website pages. Combined shipping discounts will still apply for combined purchases.
